Le Congrès américain reprend, fin des périodes de commentaires sur GENIUS, rapport sur l'emploi : Crypto Semaine à Venir

La première semaine de juin pourrait transformer les victoires politiques des cryptomonnaies en 2025 en échéances strictes. Les périodes de commentaires pour les règles sur les stablecoins du GENIUS Act commencent à se fermer cette semaine, atteignant le point où un cadre fédéral cesse d'être un statut pour devenir les règles opérationnelles que les émetteurs doivent mettre en place.

Ce qui sera réglé dans ces fenêtres décidera de qui peut émettre, quelles réserves ils détiennent et si le rendement survit. Les banques ont passé les derniers mois à pousser pour ralentir le déploiement, un combat sur les stablecoins rémunérés qui a déjà bloqué le Clarity Act pendant des mois. Le Sénat rouvre ses portes le 3 juin pour réessayer.

La valeur des stablecoins en circulation, que Samara Cohen, responsable mondiale du développement des marchés chez BlackRock, a qualifiée de « pont entre la finance traditionnelle et la liquidité numérique », continue d'augmenter et a atteint un record de 322 milliards de dollars fin mai. La BCE avertit désormais que ces instruments pourraient cimenter la domination du dollar.

L'impact macroéconomique et géopolitique devra également être surveillé de près. Bien que les données économiques fourniront des indices supplémentaires sur la direction future de la politique de la Fed, un cessez-le-feu au Moyen-Orient plus tôt que prévu pourrait raviver l'appétit pour le risque.
