- cablesaltyMay 23, 2021 · 5 years agoIn options trading, a strike price is the predetermined price at which the underlying asset can be bought or sold when exercising the option. In the context of cryptocurrency options, the strike price is the price at which the buyer of the option has the right to buy or sell the underlying cryptocurrency. If the market price of the cryptocurrency is higher than the strike price, the buyer can exercise the option to buy at the strike price. If the market price is lower, the buyer can choose not to exercise the option. The strike price plays a crucial role in determining the profitability of an options trade in the cryptocurrency market.
- Alex FlemingNov 12, 2022 · 4 years agoStrike prices in cryptocurrency options work similarly to strike prices in traditional options trading. They represent the price at which the option holder can buy or sell the underlying cryptocurrency. The strike price is set at the time the option is created and remains fixed until expiration. It's important to note that strike prices are typically set at round numbers or key support/resistance levels to provide clear reference points for traders. Understanding strike prices is essential for effectively trading cryptocurrency options and managing risk.
