In fact, the first transaction involving bitcoin was a trade for 10,000 bitcoins in exchange for two pizzas. At that time, the value of 10,000 bitcoins was only a few dollars. It's safe to say that no one could have predicted the astronomical rise in value that bitcoin would experience in the following years.
